Course "Strutural characterization under mass spectrometry conditions using IR specific activation"

For 80 students

This free course will introduce different activation methods for MS fragmentation, including practical and theoretical aspects.

The use of ion spectroscopy, ion mobility and other advanced mass spectrometry experiments will be discussed.

The course will also discuss how these experiments can be used for the study of organometallic, organic chemistry, biomolecules, isomer differentiation and other related fields.

Prof. Maître will teach this couse in english.

Students may get 2 credits if officialy enroled in the corresponding graduation course (enrolment on site).

Practical Course on MS advanced methods and theoretical calculations

For 20 students

Selected students will have the chance to apply the concepts and theory treatments described in the morning classes.

Experiments for identification of reaction intermediates using non-standard MS sources and IRMPD dissociation spectroscopy will be carried out. This practical course includes a computational chemistry class aimed for the use of theory in MS related researchs.

This free practical courses will be available for 20 students. If you have interest in this practical course, please describe the reasons you should be selected in the registration form.
